Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Halit Oğuz Çetin, the operator of Lingolem in Türkiye. By creating an account, accessing the application, or using the website, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Lingolem.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If the law where you live requires a higher age for you to consent to online services, you may use Lingolem only with authorization from a parent or legal guardian. Lingolem is a general-audience service and is not offered as a children’s service.

3. Your account

Provide accurate information, keep your sign-in methods secure, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity on your account. You may not sell, transfer, share, or create accounts through automated or deceptive means.

4. License and acceptable use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Lingolem for lawful, personal language learning, subject to these Terms. You may not:

• harass, threaten, impersonate, or target another person;
• use offensive, unlawful, or privacy-invasive profile names;
• cheat, automate gameplay, exploit bugs, or manipulate rankings;
• attempt to bypass security, payment, or access controls;
• reverse engineer or copy the service except where law permits;
• upload malware or interfere with the service; or
• use Lingolem for unlawful or unauthorized commercial activity.

5. Public profiles and social features

Usernames, golem names and appearance, and selected league or achievement information may be visible to others. Choose public information carefully. We may remove or restrict names, content, or activity that violates these Terms or creates safety risks.

6. Purchases, subscriptions, and virtual items

Purchases and subscriptions are billed by Apple App Store or Google Play under the store terms that apply to your account. Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled in your store account before the renewal date. Refunds are handled under the applicable store’s rules and mandatory consumer law.

Coins, diamonds, chests, cosmetic items, boosts, and other virtual items are licensed features with no cash value. They cannot be transferred, traded outside Lingolem, or redeemed for money. Some gameplay rewards may be randomized; any legally required odds or disclosures will be shown in the application. We may rebalance virtual items to protect fairness, while respecting applicable consumer rights.

Deleting your Lingolem account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it separately in your store settings.

7. Learning content

Lingolem is an educational aid, not a guarantee of fluency, examination results, employment, immigration outcomes, or professional certification. Language can vary by region and context. If you spot an error, please tell us so we can review it.

8. Ownership

Lingolem’s software, artwork, characters, curriculum structure, text, audio, branding, and other materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

9. Availability and changes

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We will take reasonable steps to provide notice where a material change affects paid access or where law requires notice.

10. Suspension and termination

We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect users or systems, comply with law, or address a serious or repeated violation. You may stop using Lingolem at any time and request deletion as described at lingolem.app/delete-account.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Lingolem is provided “as is” and “as available.” We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without depriving you of mandatory protections available in your country of residence. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact support@lingolem.app so we can try to resolve the issue.

13. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated where required, and the effective date above will be updated. Questions can be sent to us at support@lingolem.app.
